Home / Summer 2012 / LS4 Purchase 18
George and Tim drove to Boulder CO to inspect and then purchase the LS4 from Joe Brack. The trip was completed in about 7 days. From memory, it took over 2.5 days of solid driving from Ottawa to Boulder. We stayed with Joe's family and inspected the paperwork while consulting with Paul Fortier and Ron Hunt by telephone.

Colorado license plate on the trailer. We had a lot of difficulty importing this trailer into Canada due to a broken history of origin. It had been registered as Home Made in CO, resetting its date of manufacture. - IMG 2075

Daily oil level check on the 1.8L turbo diesel. Fuel economy was incredible, even when towing the trailer and glider on the return trip. - IMG 2021
It was late March, but the weather became unseasonable warm. That's how I (Tim) discovered that my AC had failed since the previous summer. The vehicle was 9 years old at this point.
